Even though Aleksandar Mitrovic is personally having a great start to the season, his scoring form hasn’t been able to bring many victories for his teams.

For Fulham, he’s scored four goals in four Premier League matches. But the Whites have only won one game so far.

Now for Serbia, the striker scored two goals in the game against Romania on Monday, and still, all his side got was a 2-2 draw.

Mitrovic spoke to the local press after the match, and showed that he wasn’t very happy with the goals his team conceded.

“Obviously two goals were not enough. We made stupid mistakes. It’s good that this has happened right now, at the beginning of the competition. We have plenty to do,” he said (via Sportska Centrala).

To open the scoring, Mitrovic took advantage of a big confusion in the box and, even lying on the ground, he was able to score a goal.

“One of the strangest goals I’ve scored in my career is the first, but it’s important that it counts. Now we have to analyse the games and see the mistakes. We can learn a lot from these matches.”

Mitrovic had already played on Friday, when Serbia beat Lithuania 1-0, and he was the one who made the assist for the goal.

The 23-year-old now returns to London, where Fulham prepare to make a trip to Manchester, as they are facing City on Saturday. Should he find the back of the net and feel his defenders have let him down, he probably won’t be quite as open.
