As things stand, getting rid of Antonio Conte and appointing Maurizio Sarri appears to have been a good move for Chelsea, who sit joint top of the Premier League with three wins from their first three games.
The Italian manager has already changed the way the Blues play for the better, with his philosophy starting to take shape, even if it isn’t fully implemented just yet.
As time goes by, his Chelsea team will get nearer to how Napoli played last year, hopefully with similar success, and perhaps more.
However, not everyone believes the move was the right one, as Luciano Moggi, once chief managing director at Juventus, explained in an interview to Corriere dello Sport when discussing how he used to and would choose his managers.
So far, it seems Mr Moggi is quite wrong, mostly because Chelsea currently have the highest pass completion percentage, most possession and third most shots per game in the league, as well as joint top in terms of fewest cards.
To us, that sounds like a team that has adapted rather well to what’s asked of them.
