Earlier today, we carried a report from Fanatik, who claimed Dedryck Boyata has emerged as a target for Fenerbahce and the Celtic defender has started following them, Galatasaray and Basaksehir on social media.
The Belgium international is in his final year of contract with the Bhoys and it looks like Sevilla have been following him, as confirmed by their sports director Joaquin Caparros.
He revealed the La Liga outfit have been “following” him and stressed the Spanish club must “go calmly”, if they have to make an approach for the Celtic player.
“He is a footballer that we have been following for a while, not just this year because he has gone to the World Cup. If we have to reinforce our defence and to do that, let’s go calmly,” Marca quoted Sevilla chief as saying.
Boyata’s agent has already confirmed that Brendan Rodgers’ side did not answer approaches made by several Premier League clubs about signing his client. If any of the Turkish clubs or the Andalusian side have to take the centre-back away from Celtic, the latter would demand a big transfer fee for their player.
