There’s not quite as much about Yerry Mina to Everton in Sunday’s Spanish media as there has been in the past couple of days, but there’s still room for some strong and interesting claims from Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalan newspaper explains that Mina is set for talks with Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde, and those talks could be held over the telephone rather in person. That’s because Mina remains on holiday, having progressed with Colombia in the World Cup.
Having a wish to succeed at Barca, Mina had initially wanted to stay but he increasingly sees there’s no a great prospect of getting the minutes required.
At 23 years of age, the defender is now prioritising game time, and that makes a transfer all the likelier.
After the chat with Valverde, a final decision will be made and it’s explained that Mina may then skip Barca’s preseason tour, in order to complete a transfer to another club.
