Normally, when Dimitri Seluk has something to say, it’s about Yaya Touré and where the Ivory Coast midfielder sees himself next, or when he doesn’t get the birthday cake he feels he deserves.

However, this time, the agent decided to have a chat about the possibility of West Ham signing Andriy Yarmolenko from Borussia Dortmund, which he sees as a good deal for all involved.

He told Sport.ua“I’ve always said Yarmolenko was more suited to English football than German. I think everything will work out in England because besides being a good player, he’s also physically strong, and not afraid of contact, which is needed in the Premier League”.

Leaving Dortmund, a club qualified for the Champions League group stages next season, for West Ham might be seen as a strange move, but with a change of manager in both clubs, player preferences change.

On the loss of European football, Celuk said: “This is only a status, and not a loss in terms of games. There’s matches against Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool. In financial terms, he probably won’t lose anything either”.

Furthermore, Seluk explained the attraction of living in a city like London is always a plus for footballers, as is the prestige of the Premier League.

As for working under Manuel Pellegrini, the agent knows the manager well from his time at Manchester City, and he sees Yarmolenko fitting well with the Chilean’s ideals, as long as he works hard.
