The melancholy of Adrian at West Ham continues after what has felt like years of it.
Making it clear on countless occasions that he feels he should be the club’s first choice and will look towards the exit if he’s not, Adrian has suffered another blow in his quest.
Lukasz Fabianski arriving from Swansea City means that Adrian will likely be second choice for Manuel Pellegrini next season, and Seville’s Estadio Deportivo believe their local boy won’t be happy.
Adrian is now back at West Ham and in preaseason training, and Estadio Deportivo report the goalkeeper wants talks with his club in the comings days to resolve his future there. His intention is to start matches and it’s claimed he tried to leave in January after becoming frustrated with his situation.
Betis are said to be aware of the situation, as they always with their former player, but the track doesn’t seem to be likely at this stage. Adrian may not be first choice there either and that could impact on his decisions this summer.
If there’s no realistic chance of being first choice somewhere in Spain, on a relative good wage, then a new contract offer from the Hammers could be what is desired.
