West Ham United are interested in signing Lazio star Felipe Anderson and the Premier League club are edging closer towards signing the 25-year-old.

According to the Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, the Serie A side are demanding €40m to part ways with their player. However, the Hammers are willing to pay €35m plus €3m in bonus and the deal could be closed for the same price.

The report says Anderson is “closer and closer” to join West Ham. The deal could be possible if West Ham decide to include bonuses linked to the club’s overall progress, the player’s goals scored and appearances.

Anderson made 32 appearances in all competitions for Lazio last season, scoring eight goals and registering 10 assists in the process.

The South American missed the first half of the last season due to injury as he was sidelined after a tear in the abductor muscle. The Lazio player returned to the pitch in the last Europa League group stage fixture against Zulte-Waregem in December 2017.

These claims from TMW echo others around the Italian media, and there’s confidence a deal can be done.
