At this point, it’s a well-known fact that Manchester United are interested in Sofyan Amrabat, but whether or not they will buy him remains unclear.
This is reportedly due to the fact the Red Devils are struggling to get the sales they wanted, with the likes of Harry Maguire and Donny van de Beek still at the club.
Over at Fiorentina, patience with Manchester United is running out, and that’s exactly what Corriere dello Sport touch upon on Tuesday.
They claim that the Serie A side are unlikely to want a repeat of what happened last January when Barcelona took their sweet time to come forward for the Morocco international.
That’s why they have now put Amrabat ‘in front of a crossroads’, because they don’t want to use the word ultimatum, which is that either a bid from Manchester United (or anyone else) arrives ‘in the next 48 hours, at most 72 hours’, when the team return from Vienna, or ‘the doubt that the midfielder could eventually stay in Florence could become a certainty’.
That sounds like an ultimatum to us, but the idea here is that the Serie A side do not want to ‘find themselves in a week’s time, a couple of days away from the gong’ with the ‘hassle of finding a replacement’ for their midfielder.
Basically, the interest from Manchester United and other sides ‘must turn into a solid offer between now and Friday’.
