Sergio Reguilón last made an appearance in Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on April 16th.
Since then the left-back was left out of Antonio Conte’s plans at the north London club, underwent surgery and completed a loan move to Atlético Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The Tottenham owned player is yet to make his debut for the La Liga side since an injury forced him to spend time away from the pitch. There seems to be progress made on this front since he trained for the first time under Diego Simeone’s orders on Thursday.
Mundo Deportivo have published a picture of the Spain international training with his new teammates, and headline thier article ‘50 days later’.
The newspaper, however, warns he has to ‘wait’ to make his debut for Los Rojiblancos. That could possibly be because it’s been close to two months he’s been out of group training , and more than six months he was last seen on the pitch.
Despite this, Reguilón’s return to full training is good news for the player himself, Atlético, who can rely on him this season, and Tottenham, where he still has a contract until 2025.
