On Thursday morning, Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport featured a positive update on Leicester City’s chase for Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi.
It was claimed that the player himself has already approved the move to the Foxes, and it’s now up to the clubs to find a deal for the transfer.
Some fresh news are now brought by Fabrizio Biasin, relayed by FCInter1908, with the journalist saying Leicester City’s bid is still to arrive.
“Leicester’s interest confirmed. Inter are waiting the English club’s offer. The player has already given the OK for the transfer.”
Leicester City aren’t expected to spend a lot on this signing, mostly because Sensi’s contract with Inter Milan is expiring at the end of the season.
Reports from the Italian media claim that to avoid losing the player for free in the summer, the Nerazzurri could be set to accept just €2m for his early departure.
Sensi joined Inter Milan on a €25m deal from Sassuolo, first on a loan deal in 2019 and then on a permanent transfer in 2020.
He spent the last season on loan at Monza, and is now getting little playing time at the Nerazzurri, which just reinforces his urge to leave and play more.
