Brentford, Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Liverpool are all keen on Hoffenheim youngster Maximilian Beier, with the latter best placed to get him.
That’s according to SportBILD, who cover the player today as he continues to impress and earn himself a growing list of admirers.
They explain that Beier is currently Hoffenheim’s ‘hottest transfer stock’ after scoring 12 goals and registering five assists in 26 games in the Bundesliga this season.
That’s a record that’s earned him plenty of attention, with a potential call-up to the Germany squad also on the horizon as Julian Nagelsmann has already been in touch.
A long list of suitors has already developed for the 21-year-old including sides in the Premier League, with Liverpool, Brentford, Brighton and Nottingham Forest all putting him on their list.
He’s said to be ‘very impressed’ by the youngster and so if he were to arrive at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp’s replacement this summer, a move to Liverpool would make plenty of sense.
They’d have to pay €32.5m for Beier thanks to a clause in his current contract, a figure that Brentford, Brighton or Nottingham Forest may struggle to match.
Less so the Seagulls given they have money spare from sales, but Brentford have already spent big on a new striker and Nottingham Forest have issues with PSR after their spending since returning to the Premier League.
Hence Liverpool could be best placed of that quartet should they decided to ‘get serious’, something SportBILD believe the big clubs will do at some point this summer.
