For weeks now, Il Mattino have been utterly convinced Kim Min-jae is on his way to Manchester United this summer.
The local Naples newspaper sees the transfer as a certainty and is almost at the point where it’s considered something in the past, like it’s already happened and Napoli are moving on from it.
Sunday gives another example of that, with Il Mattino saying Kim Min-jae is ‘already at Manchester United’.
There’s also big claims from elsewhere.
La Repubblica, via CalcioNapoli24, say the defender is expected to say goodbye to Napoli fans today. The Serie A club wanted to keep him but can’t match the package offered by Manchester United.
Italian journalist Salvatore Caiazza has also had something to say. Speaking on Radio Kiss Kiss, via Area Napoli, he stated: “Kim? He will go to Manchester United for the rest of his life.”
Now, we know what you’re thinking… what on earth is Radio Kiss Kiss? Well, despite the questionable name it’s actually the official radio partner of Napoli football club and has been for a long time.
Sunday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport is also confident, saying Kim Min-jae ‘will go to Manchester United’.
The player’s release clause, thought to be worth around €60m, can only be activated in the first two weeks of July.
