Nottingham Forest have shown keen interest in RC Strasbourg’s Dilane Bakwa and have already made an attempt to sign him.
Last week, L’Equipe reported the Reds had offered €24m plus €4m bonuses for the winger, but it was rejected by the Ligue 1 club. They added Nottingham Forest are expected to return with an improved bid.
Journalist Mohamed Toubache-Ter took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have offered €31m excluding bonuses.
A fresh report from L’Equipe backs that up and shares the latest on the French club’s stance.
It’s claimed Nottingham Forest returned with a new offer of €31m including bonuses while Toubache-Ter said the figure was excluding bonuses. The details may not matter as their latest proposal hasn’t convinced Strasbourg.
The Frenchman has a contract until 2027, and his club are demanding €35m in fixed fee to sanction his sale this summer.
Toubache-Ter and L’Equipe make no mention or suggestion of whether Nottingham Forest intend to meet the requested fee.
Bakwa joined Strasbourg in 2023, scoring 11 and registering 18 assists from 66 games of which six goals and nine assists were from last season.
