On Wednesday, we covered claims from Italy which stated Watford are closing in on signing Udinese’s Egil Selvik in the winter market. They also reported the goalkeeper’s approval was missing.

The 27-year-old arrived at Udinese from Norwegian side FK Haugesund on January 10th and is now set for a quick move to Watford.

TuttoMercatoWeb state Watford have defined the details of the agreement with the Serie A side to sign the stopper on a permanent transfer.

The two clubs are owned by the Pozzo family, and this certainly made it easier for Watford to negotiate with the Italian club.

TMW add Selvik will be in England on Thursday to join the Championship side. This would indicate he has agreed to move to the Hornets in this window.

Udinese Blog also report the Italian club’s new signing hasn’t made an appearance but is set to join the Hornets on a permanent basis.

The outlet adds Selvik will travel to England on Thursday to carry out medical tests and sign his contract with Tom Cleverley’s side.

TMW and Udinese Blog make no mention of the fee Watford are paying for the Norwegian.
