In the summer transfer window, Corriere dello Sport spoke of Leeds United’s interest in AS Roma’s Artem Dovbyk. Now, the Whites are looking at the possibility of signing another player from the Italian giants.
ASRomaLive report that the man in question is Lorenzo Pellegrini, who was linked with an exit some weeks ago but scored against Lazio on his return to the first-team squad.
The outlet claim that even though the 29-year-old is impressing manager Gian Piero Gasperini, his future remains uncertain.
Sources have informed ASRomaLive that Leeds United are looking for an attacking midfielder and Pellegrini is on their shortlist.
The Italy international’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico expires in 2026 and he can prove to be an affordable option for the Whites.
Inter Milan’s Piotr Zielinski is also being considered, with the 31-year-old having failed to make a mark since his arrival as a free agent in the summer of 2024.
Even though the Poland international’s current contract at the Nerazzurri runs until 2028, his declining performances can make him a cheap option for Leeds United.
