Already plucking Anthony Musaba from AS Monaco this summer for an undisclosed transfer fee, Sheffield Wednesday are counting their work in France to bolster their squad.
The next transfer that appears to be on the verge of going through at Hillsborough is that of Djeidi Gassama, currently contract to Paris Saint-Germain.
The 19-year-old spent last season on loan at KAS Eupen and has only ever made the one appearance for the French club’s first-team, but that hasn’t put off Sheffield Wednesday, according to Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna.
Taking to Twitter, the journalist states the player ‘will sign’ for the Owls, but there are first a few ‘final details to sort’.
As for the player himself, he has ‘already given his agreement’ to join Sheffield Wednesday, meaning he is simply waiting for the two clubs to finally agree everything before heading off to England.
Regarding a transfer fee, an article on the website explains that Paris Saint-Germain should let the 19-year-old join for free ‘in exchange of various bonuses and a nice percentage on a future resale’.
A win-win for everyone, it seems, then.
