Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Dani Ceballos as Real Madrid want to offload him in the summer transfer window.
Their idea is to allow the midfielder leave on a loan transfer and not to include a purchase option as a part of the deal.
Having won the Euro U21 with Spain, Ceballos is expected join the first team squad for preseason on July 22nd.
AS reported on Monday the 22-year-old’s idea is to formalise a move elsewhere before then, so not have to go on the trip.
The same newspaper once again relays that Ceballos’ idea is to resolve his future before July 22nd.
It’s claimed that now everything points that he will play for the Europa League runners-up next season, even though it seemed Tottenham were ahead in the transfer race.
AS states Ceballos is ‘one step away’ from Arsenal.
The interest shown by Unai Emery in signing his compatriot has been the key in convincing Ceballos to make a loan switch to the Emirates, despite having offers from Tottenham and AC Milan.
Monday’s edition of Marca reported a stay at Real Madrid hasn’t been ruled out, so this would go against that claim.
