Liverpool have reportedly invited an Honduran youngster to have a trial with the club.

According to the local Honduran press, Wesly Decas is travelling to England in the next few days so he can take his chance and try to impress the Premier League side.

The 17 year old has recently impressed in an U-20 tournament at which Liverpool scouts were present.  Decas plays for Atletico Independiente, an Honduran club who are currently in the local league’s second division, so Liverpool will be a whole new world to him.

Website Diez claims the player will have trials with Liverpool’s U-19 and U-23 squads, and will have to impress enough to convince Liverpool he’s worth signing up.

It’s still unclear how long Decas is expected to train with Liverpool and whether the Premier League club have already negotiated a buying option on the player.. Contacted by Sport Witness, Decas’ agent Daniel Solis didn’t want to comment on the matter.
