Chilean youngster Darío Osorio has aroused interest from clubs across Europe, including Wolverhampton Wanderers.
That’s according to TNT Sports, who explain the Universidad de Chile player has already received a ‘millionaire offer’ to change clubs this summer.
They go on to say that offer was worth €5m and was from Wolves.
The report explains that there is ‘already an agreement’ in place, without making it clear whether it is between the two clubs or between the Premier League side and the midfielder.
Despite the interest from Wolves, Universidad de Chile coach Diego López has advised the 18-year-old to continue his development in South America for a while and then make the jump to Europe.
The Chile international doesn’t share López’s views. Osorio is of the belief he is ready to go abroad.
“I think that depends on your mentality. If you are prepared to take the leap, you do not have to go wrong,” Osorio told La Tercera earlier this month.
“Am I prepared to make the leap abroad? Yes, I’m ready to make the leap, but I’m not desperate to leave La U [Universidad de Chile]. I try to keep working to gain confidence.”
Osorio’s performances for his club have helped him make his debut for Chile. Eduardo Berizzo included the teenager in the national team squad for last month’s friendlies, where he came off the bench against Tunisia and Ghana.
