Kasper Dolberg seems very happy indeed at Ajax. At just 19 years of age, the Denmark international has scored 23 goals so far this season, and will hope to round the campaign off by winning the Europa League this week.

Dolberg has shown no urgency to rush away from Ajax, and has made it clear he doesn’t see himself joining one of Europe’s biggest clubs yet. Despite that, the Danish media are very excited, and in their Monday edition, Danish newspaper BT look at potential summer destinations.

The player himself would prefer a move to what’s described as the second step, and that includes Tottenham and Everton. Borussia Dortmund and AS Monaco are put on the same level as Mauricio Pochettino’s and Ronald Koeman’s clubs, for this purpose anyway.

BT say Dolberg would have an ‘ace in his hand’ over such a move, because there are opportunities available. Romelu Lukaku’s possible Everton exit is a reason for a chance at Goodison, and Vincent Janssen not really succeeding at Tottenham opens up another door, explain BT.

The Danish excitement is understandable, and it’s responsible they believe Dolberg would edge towards an Everton or Tottenham type move. But, with a contract until 2021, staying at Ajax for another season could be the best decision of all.
