If DZ Foot are to be believed on Thursday, then Leicester have missed out on a young defender named Karim Zedadka.

The 18-year-old is said to have been approached by the Foxes recently, most likely in an attempt driven by Claude Puel, but ultimately turned them down to sign for Napoli in Serie A.

The reason why we say the French manager was likely behind the drive is due to the fact Zedadka used to play for OGC Nice, where Puel previously managed two years ago.

A right-back, also capable of playing as a defensive midfielder, the youngster, of Algerian descent, will now team up with the likes of Faouzi Ghoulam and Adam Ounas, who have been known to attend Napoli reserves games.

As things stand, Zedadka has yet to make a professional appearance for his clubs, but will now be hoping to do so in Italy, where he’ll need to impress Carlo Ancelotti to get some first-team football.
