After claims Russian club CSKA Moscow are interested in signing Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini, the Italian attacker’s agent Silvio Pagliari has spoken to the Russian media about a potential transfer.
In recent months the Southampton player has been linked with a return to Serie A
Speaking to Championat, Pagliari was asked about CSKA’s links with Gabbiadini: “CSKA ready to offer £5m for Manolo? You must be kidding! This money is nowhere near enough. You’ll need to pay at least £15m to sign him.”
There have been reports in the English and Italian press that CSKA Moscow and Spartak Moscow are interested in his services, along with Serie A sides Fiorentina and Bologna.
New Saints manager Ralph Hassenhütl could look to offload some of his players and Gabbiadini may be one of those that exits St Mary’s. The 27 year old is struggling to get games with the Premier League side and may need to find a club which can give more opportunities.
The Italian striker has made 12 appearances for Southampton this season, and is under contract with the club until 2021.
