It’s starting to spiral out of control, the number of Portuguese players who have been linked to Wolverhampton in the past few weeks is unprecedented.
There are those who belong to Benfica (Pelé, Helder Costa and Anderson Talisca) and those who previously played for the Portuguese club (Ivan Cavaleiro and Sílvio).
And the latest name to be added to this list is Ola John, who is a player from… Benfica!
The winger, who spent the last season on loan at Reading, has been training with Benfica’s B team. And according to Record, he could be the next one to be joining Wolves.
Just like the many other players who have been linked to the English club, Record doesn’t have any details about the negotiations, just that he could be joining Wolves.
West Brom were said to be interested in the player, and Reading reportedly wanted a permanent deal too. It was quite obvious that Ola John wasn’t going to stay at Benfica for next season, and with this Wolves thing going on, the link was inevitable.
