Onyekuru

Once desperately wanting to go to Celtic, Henry Onyekuru’s future appears to be either in Belgium or in the Premier League.

The KAS Eupen top goalscorer was once again on the scoresheet at the weekend, scoring his sixth goal in seven playoff games, in a 2-1 loss to KRC Genk, and his future appears far from the small Belgian side.

Linked with both Everton and Southampton in the Premier League, the 19-year-old winger was asked about interest from Anderlecht, Club Brugge and the Toffees after the game, and addressed it directly.

Relayed by L’Avenir, he said: “Yes, everything is possible”.

Of course, that doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things, but it shows the young winger is open to a transfer in the summer, something he made clear a while ago.

As for his destination, it’ll probably be the club that makes the best offer for him, with KAS Eupen reportedly asking for £7m up front for his services.

It’s also worth pointing out that OwnGoalNigeria are reporting Everton have made a £5m bid for the player.

With three playoff games left, his manager, Jordi Condom, has made it clear they will do whatever they can to get him that top goalscorer award, which, if he achieves it, will certainly add a couple of millions to his price tag.

After all, if they’re going to sell, they might as well do so for as much as possible!
