West Ham United are close to completing a deal for Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville, after he passed a medical and a ‘few wrinkles’ on the deal were ironed out.

That’s according to Dutch newspaper PZC, who report that the forward has passed his medical after flying to London on Thursday evening.

They report that Summerville is set to make a return to the Premier League after Leeds and West Ham ironed of the ‘few wrinkles’ which were holding up the deal.

The Dutchman is set to sign a long-term deal with the Hammers and Leeds will receive around €30m from the deal if reports are to be believed.

Summerville flew to London on Thursday ahead of medical tests on Friday, which have been completed. The final details were then worked on in the morning to compete the transfer and it is expected that he will finalise his move from Leeds this weekend, or perhaps even before it.

The player becomes the latest signing for West Ham this summer, with the Hammers showing no hesitancy in spending their money to strengthen their squad for new manager Julen Lopetegui.

He’ll also be the latest high-profile exit from Leeds, who have been forced to sell off their top talent this summer after failing to make it back to the Premier League.
