Leeds United defender Junior Firpo has found himself being hype in Spain as Real Betis consider a move for him this summer.

Sport do the hyping today, labelling the Leeds full back a ‘real bargain’ and a player who is currently ‘wowing the whole of England’ with his performances.

They say Firpo is one of the ‘sensations’ for Leeds this season, playing a key role in helping them to the top of the Championship and back towards the Premier League.

He was once considered a failed signing at Elland Road but almost four years after his arrival, and now 28-years-old, he is ‘showing his best version’ as a professional footballer.

He’s become the ‘undisputed’ left-back under Daniel Farke and is shining, particularly offensively, where he has three goals and six assists in 25 games. They make him the sixth highest assist provider in the Championship.

He’s showing all the skills that attract the biggest clubs in Europe and even Opta recently pointed out that only Mohamed Salah has more assists in the top four divisions of England.

The Championship appears to be too small for him and a big move could be on the way in the summer as he’s set to be available on a free transfer.

That makes him a real ‘sweetheart’ for big teams in the Premier league but also several teams in Europe, including Real Betis. Manuel Pellegrini’s team have ‘never taken their eye off him’.

Whether they can win what may be a battle for his signature remains to be seen, but his performances are not being missed. In fact, everyone is just adding to the hype.
