In the past week Leeds United have been linked with Olympiacos midfielder Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe, following reports the Greek giants are looking to offload him in the summer.
It’s also been reported Krasnodar are interested in the player, after being linked with the the 29 year old last summer.
Polish media outlet Sport have reported on Odjidja-Ofoe’s proposed move from Legia Warsaw to Krasnodor last year, and they claim the deal didn’t happen because the player failed his medical.
It’s reported the Russian club had concerns about Odjidja-Ofoe’s knees and subsequently the transfer never happened.
This may be a concern to Leeds United if they have intentions to sign the Belgian in the next transfer window. Despite being a regular for Olympiacos this season there seems to be an underlying issue with Odjidja-Ofoe’ fitness, and bringing in the midfielder may be seen as a risk by Leeds United.
Odjidja-Ofoe has two years left on his contract with Olympiacos, and the Greek side are willing to sell him for offers in the region of €2m. Despite the low transfer fee it’s likely Leeds United would have to make him one of the highest paid players at the club.
Jerry Mbakogu, who Leeds have a rough agreement to sign from Carpi, also has long term knee issues and recently visited a specialist in Barcelona.
