Torino are concerned about the deal they have with Leeds United over Pontus Jansson due to the imminent change in ownership at the Championship side. In the past few days it’s been revealed FIFA are looking into the transfer because Torino have yet to receive the transfer fee for the Swede.

InfoToro have reported Torino are worried about Andrea Radrizzani taking full control over Leeds United after reports he’s close to buying out fellow co-owner Massimo Cellino. Earlier in the season Radrizzani bought a 50% stake in Leeds United, and now that Cellino has plans to return to Italy with Brescia he’s close to selling his remaining shares to his compatriot.

Torino believe this ‘internal revolution’ will further complicate the matter because even though it was the club who brought in Jansson, it was Cellino that was in charge at the time. The Serie A side would then have to deal with Radrizzani, which could drag out the situation.

On Friday reports broke over that FIFA would be investigating Jansson’s transfer to Leeds United after claims the money should have been paid in February to Torino, when the Swede played his 22nd game for the Championship, rather than in the summer.

The whole thing seems to be genuine concern from Torino that they may have issues getting the money quickly this summer, and going to FIFA looks to be a shot across the bows of Leeds United.
