Despite picking up a 1-0 win against Young Boys in the Champions League, Mourinho still faced some criticism from the media, mostly for his team’s performance, to which the Special One replied in his usual manner.

By reminding everyone that he’s managed to get out of the competition’s group stages 14 times in 16 years, and that the only time he wasn’t in the competition, he won the Europa League, the Manchester United manager tickled a few people the wrong way, including Christophe Dugarry.

Now a presenter on RMC Sport, the 1998 World Cup winner lost his cool on air after hearing what Mourinho had to say, and it wasn’t pretty.

Relayed by Le10 Sport, he said: “It’s unbearable. He’s wrecked the club. When you see them play on Tuesday, it’s catastrophic, it’s awful, when we all remember Manchester with Roy Keane, Beckham… all the great players, they played offensive football. It was beautiful and passionate.

“Old Trafford was the Theatre of Dreams, now it’s the Theatre of Nightmares with this guy. It’s crazy. What he doesn’t understand is that we don’t give a sh** about his titles, we just want emotion and to watch good football, which he’s incapable of giving us, but he won’t realise that because he’s so far up his own a***. We don’t care at all about what you’ve won, mate.”

Drawing 0-0 to Crystal Palace at the weekend, Manchester United are currently seventh in the Premier League, picking up just 21 points from their first 13 games, having already lost four and “boasting” a goal difference of -1.

The Red Devils are now preparing to face 18th placed Southampton at St Mary’s this weekend, which could be a rather important game for both teams involved, as José Mourinho’s men are currently seven points off the top four while a win for Mark Hughes’ side could see them escape the relegation zone.
