Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed today Pescara are hoping to sign Lescott before next week’s transfer deadline as ex Italy international, and World Cup winner, Massimo Oddo looks to strengthen his squad.
The Italian side want to bring in an experienced defender with international experience, and Lescott looks to fit the bill. It would also be a move which would be welcomed by the Pescara fans.
The president of Pescara is already in talks with Aston Villa with regards to signing Lescott, and there are claims a deal could happen. AEK Athens are also interested in signing the former England international, but the player would prefer to live in Italy rather than Greece.
