Leeds United star Luis Sinisterra is one of the players who ‘could benefit’ from the World Cup break to regain his fitness and get back into Jesse Marsch’s side.

That’s according to the Colombian edition of AS, who cover the player today on a list of six players who can use the upcoming break to their advantage.

They explain that there are currently six Colombian players who ‘need to get back to their best’ and Sinisterra is one of them.

He won’t be going to the World Cup and will instead be with Leeds during the tournament, with European clubs set to hold something of a ‘mini-season’ with who they have available to them.

Various plans have already been put in place, and this mini season will ‘be essential’ for those who are close to returning from injury like Sinisterra.

He’s suffering from a muscular discomfort, but the idea is that he will be ready for the Carabao Cup fixtures starting on the 16th of December or on Boxing Day.

For that to happen he’ll have to work hard during this international break, which will be essential for him and other players to ‘start to regain their best form’.

The plan is for him to get up to speed as quickly as possible, taking advantage of this break thanks to the World Cup so he is ready to be a key player for Leeds in the second half of the season.
