Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pablo Sarabia is drawing some interest from Turkey, according to local reports.
Outlet Aspor today reveals that Galatasaray are keen on signing the 31-year-old this summer.
It’s claimed the ‘work has started’ to get the transfer done, as manager Okan Buruk likes the player ‘very much’.
The report says that even though Sarabia has a contract with Wolves running until 2025, he’s actually willing to leave the club.
The problem may be the transfer formula that Galatasaray are about to put on the table. It’s said the Molineux side are requesting €10m for the transfer, while the Istanbul side will try for a loan with an option to buy.
Maybe this buying clause will be good enough to convince Wolves of a deal, but there’s no information about the numbers for now.
Aspor also reveal that following interest from Galatasaray, Sarabia received information about the club from Juan Mata. The Spaniard played for the Turkish club last season, despite now leaving as a free agent.
The Istanbul side are said to be trying to form a ‘dream team’ for the next season.
