Wolverhampton Wanderers brought some good news on Monday as striker Raúl Jimenez has been released from hospital.

Following the successful surgery, the Mexican star is now back at home with his family to finish the recovery from his head injury.

We now bring some more updates from North America, where Raúl Jiménez’ father has spoken to the local press at a tennis event on Monday.

“We continue to be on the lookout because it’s something very difficult, but thanks to Raúl’s strength, he’s coming forward”, said Raúl Jimenez, who shares the same name of his son (via Record).

“He’s somehow happy to know of the difficult situation that he’s leaving and that thanks to the good and timely intervention of the doctors in England, they did to him what could be done and he’s recovering in good spirits and highly motivated.”

“What they told us is that he won’t have any consequences and that it’s all a matter of time before he starts with physical rehabilitation.”

Wolverhampton have already made it clear that there’s no set date for Raúl Jiménez to get back on playing, even though his recovery seems to be going completely fine for now.

Both the English and the Mexican media have been claiming he should use some head protection, but that’s all speculation for now, as Wolves are still to make a decision on the matter.

Raúl Jiménez has three goals in 10 matches for the Premier League side this season. He’s recently signed a contract renewal, and the new deal only expires in 2024.
