On July 1st, De Telegraaf reported Manchester United have proposed a five-year deal to Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt.
It was also said the Red Devils have already started discussions with the Bundesliga side.
As well as Manchester United, the 24-year-old has been linked with other top clubs recently.
Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say that there are no negotiations with any other club apart from the Premier League side.
De Ligt’s agent Rafaela Pimenta is in discussion with Manchester United to find the ‘best solution’ for her client. According to Plettenberg, it ‘won’t be an issue’ for the English club to find ‘total agreement’ with the player over personal terms.
Manchester United have to agree a deal with Bayern, who haven’t received a formal offer so far for the Dutchman.
The Sky journalist claims the Bavarian club are demanding €50m plus bonuses to part ways with the defender this summer.
De Ligt is currently with the Netherlands squad and won’t be going home this weekend, with Oranje through to the semi-finals.
