It’s been a few months since the Italian press started claiming some Serie A clubs would be interested in signing Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea.
Both Inter Milan and Juventus were said to be following the Brazilian, with a chance of signing him in the January transfer window.
But it doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere, at least according to his agent. Fernando Garcia has spoken to FC Inter News on Tuesday, and claimed that a transfer isn’t in Chelsea’s plans.
“Chelsea have no intention of depriving themselves of Emerson Palmieri right now. He’s happy in London and so now he won’t change clubs,” agent Fernando Garcia told FC Inter News.
The agent’s words have been clear enough, and that’s why the website now totally rules out a January transfer, both for Inter Milan and for Juventus.
Emerson Palmieri has 16 appearances for Chelsea this season, and has been the club’s main choice in the Premier League, even though Frank Lampard also has Marcos Alonso as an option.
The 25-year-old has a contract with the Blues until 2022.
