On Monday, Radio Marca reported Valencia have learned of Sevilla’s interest in signing Gonçalo Guedes and their idea is to ask €40m to sanction the player’s sale in the summer.
La Razón have reproduced Radio Marca’s report and provide their own information on this case.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested in the 24-year-old, who joined Los Ches on a permanent transfer from Paris Saint-Germian in a deal worth €40m in 2018.
Sevilla and Wolves both ‘want to sign’ the Portugal international, and Valencia are aware it will be ‘difficult to recover’ the money they invested in his signing.
For this reason, La Razón state the La Liga side would sell the attacker for a ‘lower amount’ to the English club, as long as Wolves offer Rafa Mir in exchange.
Mir is currently on loan at SD Huesca and his form this season has caught the attention of several Spanish clubs. Valencia are among them and last month they held talks with Wolves, discussing various options to sign the striker in the summer.
In favour of Guedes’ arrival at Molineux is his compatriot, Nuno Espírito Santo.
The duo are represented by Jorge Mendes, and the super-agent would be ready to take the player away from Valencia in order to stop his valuation from dropping further. Whether Mendes will take his client to Wolves or to another club remains to be seen.
