SD Huesca are keen on Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Rafa Mir and are ready to make an ‘economic effort’ to sign him.
Mir joined Nottingham Forest on loan in the summer transfer window in search of regular game time and development in the Championship.
He has found life at the club difficult, though, with just two starts in the league this season and no goals to date.
Reports have suggested that his loan spell at the club could be brought to a premature end and there are several clubs in Spain keen on his signature.
They report that the Wolves striker wants to leave Nottingham Forest to return to Spain and Huesca are willing to make an economic effort for that to happen.
Mir was on the club’s ‘agenda’ last summer and is the ‘preferred option’ for the club in the winter transfer window.
The Spanish striker earns round €1m per year at Wolves, but Huesca are willing to fund that as they believe he can lead them to ‘high sports revenue,’ while his profile ‘fits like a glove’.
Mir is ‘attentive’ to offers that can take him back to Spain as he has not felt comfortable during his time in England so far, although he is waiting for an ‘elite team’ to enter the bidding.
Should that happen, Huesca are ‘well-positioned’ and have alternatives on their list in case the move for the Wolves striker ends up failing.
