The talks for Gonçalo Guedes’ transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers seem to be continuing to develop very fast.

Following all the reports from the weekend claiming there are advanced negotiations for the move, we now see Radio Marca Valencia claiming the operation is ‘expected to be closed today’.

The outlet claims that ‘between fixed and variable amounts’, the transfer will cost Wolves around €40m. The initial part, however, is set to be smaller, as if it reached the €40m price, then Valencia would need to pay PSG a percentage.

Radio Marca Valencia also adds that Newcastle United and Roma were interested in the attacker, but made ‘very low offers’ for his arrival, and it seems they now stand out of the race.

On Monday morning, we already covered the reports from other outlets on this deal. AS claimed it would be done for €30m + €5m, and it was ‘about to be completed’. Meanwhile, Super Deporte showed how pressured Valencia were to let go of the ‘most decisive’ player they’ve had in their squad in recent years.
