According to Ajansspor, Wolverhampton Wanderers will send a scout to Turkey to watch Caykur Rizespor goalkeeper Gokhan Akkan, when the Super Lig club clash with Basaksehir at the end of September.
The 24 year old has been in great form for his club in the past couple of seasons and his performances have caught the eye of some big clubs across Europe, with Wolves pulled into that group.
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has an undisputed first choice goalkeeper in Rui Patricio, but the Premier League side could look to sign a youngster who can provide back up to the Portuguese international.
A move away from Caykur Rizespor seems likely at this stage of his career as he looks to take the next step.
The former Ankaragucu player still has three years left on his current contract at Caykur Rizespor. Akkan is also part of Turkish national team setup but he’s yet to make his debut for his country.
