Although it’s normally the Portuguese and Italian press who report the scouting missions around Europe, we’ve got something interesting coming from Croatia today.

Local outlet Sportske Novosti brings a story about Dinamo Zagreb’s 4-1 loss against Manchester City for the Champions League last night, and lists all the clubs who sent emissaries to the game.

One of those sides was Wolverhampton Wanderers, who probably had a very good reason to send someone to the Croatian capital.

The report says all the scouts were able to see Dani Olmo’s beautiful goal, although they don’t seem to know which clubs were there just to watch the Spanish star.

Wolverhampton have been doing frequent scouting jobs lately, and since they clearly don’t have to go very far to see Manchester City, they probably had something to see at Dinamo Zagreb’s side.

After all, it was a rare opportunity to check how the potential targets would do against a Premier League club.
