Over the past few seasons, Wolves have been no strangers to signing players from Portugal.

Super agent Jorge Mendes has famously been involved at Wolves and in the current squad, the likes of Rayan Ait-Nouri, Nelson Semedo and Matt Doherty are represented by the Portuguese’s agency Gestifute.

There is now an indication that Gary O’Neil’s side could be keeping an eye on Portugal once again.

A Bola have reported today that there were many clubs present at the Estadio do Dragao for FC Porto’s Europa League game against FC Midtjylland on Thursday.

Wolves had scouts at the venue and so did the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

There is no clear mention about who Wolves were keeping an eye on.

The last time Wolves signed a player from Porto was back in the 2020/21 season, when Fabio Silva and Vitinha joined the club and neither of them had made a major impact at t Molineux.

Signing players from Portugal hasn’t gone too badly generally, though.
