A couple of weeks ago, we saw a funny story from the Chilean media regarding Wolverhampton Wanderers’ alleged chase for Universidad de Chile youngster Dario Osorio.
Despite reports saying Wolves had made an offer to sign the 18-year-old, outlet En Cancha showed up to say the Molineux side didn’t even know anything about the player, and the chances of a move were ruled out.
It turns out, however, that this rumour is back, this time with a stronger piece from TNT Sports.
The outlet claims there’s not only a ‘millionaire offer’ from Wolves for the signing, but actually ‘a €5m agreement’ between the clubs for the transfer.
The information was given on TV show ‘Todos Somos Técnicos’, with a journalist claiming there’s ‘at least a verbal’ deal for the move.
Dario Osorio is an 18-year-old who recently made his debut for La U. He’s made only 13 appearances for the first team, and already scored four goals for them. Since he has caps for Chile’s youth ranks and just had his first game for the national team’s first team, that could help his chances of getting a work permit.
Now if Wolves really knew something about him and the chase is true, then we should get to know in the coming days.
