HSV Hamburg defender Mario Vuskovic has not travelled to Wolverhampton Wanderers for a medical, despite reports to the contrary.
That’s according to MOPO, who label the reports as ‘fake news’ and explain the situation around the 20-year-old.
Rumours on social media on Friday stated that Vuskovic was expected to undergo a medical with Wolves this week, with a fee of €8.5m agreed.
MOPO, though, say ‘neither the one nor the other is true’ in that regard, and Vuskovic actually travelled to Basel with HSV yesterday.
The Croatian is expected to play in a clash with Basel today, further rubbishing any suggestions he’s on the verge of a move to Wolves.
They do confirm that Wolves and three Bundesliga club ‘are interested in him’, but there have been ‘no new developments’ in the past few days.
Wolves’ owners have been informed by Vuskovic’s management about his price tag, which currently stands at €10m. They are, though, ‘considering’ whether to contact HSV about a transfer.
Vuskovic himself is ‘perfectly at home’ with the German side and does not want to leave the club at the moment.
Thus, any move to Molineux isn’t on the cards at this moment in time, despite reports hinting he was on his way.
