Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain’s Hugo Ekitike in the winter market.
The striker was mainly used as a substitute last season and his situation hasn’t improved at all this season. Since coming off the bench against FC Lorient last August, he hasn’t made an appearance for the Ligue 1 side.
RMC Sport state PSG are looking to find a solution for the 21-year-old, who is wanted by Wolves, VfL Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt.
It’s further stated Luis Enrique’s side would favour a loan deal with a purchase option this month.
The former Reims man’s situation at Parc des Princes hasn’t put off the interested parties in Germany and England, where Wolves are in the picture. RMC Sport state Gary O’Neil’s side are ‘ready to welcome’ the Frenchman in January.
Wolfsburg have expressed their interest in Ekitike, while Eintracht Frankfurt, who were in the mix last summer, are still there.
The report states Wolves have a good relationship with PSG and that could help them get ahead of the Bundesliga duo in the transfer race.
Eintracht Frankfurt are also keen on signing Wolves’ Saša Kalajdžić on a loan deal and his exit could open the door for Ekitike to arrive at Molineux.
