Sportime journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos has claimed Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Olympiacos goalkeeper Jose Sa, following similar claims from Portugal.

Wolves recently parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo and this week appointed Bruno Lage as his successor. Lage is now reportedly in the market to sign a goalkeeper as the Premier League club’s current No.1 Rui Patricio has been linked with a move away from the club.

There have been reports Jose Mourinho is keen to bring him to AS Roma, and that Patricio wants the move.

Chorianopoulos reports Jose Sa is Wolves’ primary goalkeeper target this summer and says they are willing to offer around €8-10m to sign the Portuguese stopper.

The journalist also says Sa has a release clause in his Olympiacos contract which is set at €15m.

Sa has been linked with a move to the Premier League repeatedly over the past few years, with West Ham United among the clubs said to be interested in him previously.

Last season he kept 19 clean sheets in 44 appearances in all competitions. Sa’s contract with the Greek club will expire at the end of June 2023.
