Wolverhampton Wanderers are today once again linked to Grêmio star Pepê.

The news continues to come from the Portuguese media, as Porto seem to be going strongly for the player. A story from newspaper O Jogo covers claims the Dragons are offering €10m for the winger.

Regarding Wolves, the outlet writes that the Premier League side have been ‘probing the ground’, but are still to engage in formal negotiations so far.

O Jogo points out that the Brazilian would have no problems in moving to the Premier League, since he has a European passport and a work permit wouldn’t be an issue.

Despite the claims from O Jogo saying Wolves didn’t get very far in the race for Pepê, we’ve been covering claims that say otherwise. Just yesterday, Portuguese TV show Mais Transferências said the Molineux side had a €15m bid rejected by Grêmio.

The Brazilian media has been quiet about Wolves and Pepê in the past few weeks, as they’ve been mostly talking about Porto’s interest. So it’s interesting to see that all this information is only being leaked in Portugal, sounding a little like pressure for Porto to raise their offer.
