Normally constantly linked with André Silva, Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to have turned their attention to another Milan player: Patrick Cutrone.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A side are trying to put funds together to bolster their own squad with Atlético Madrid’s Angel Correa and Juventus’ new signing Merih Demiral, and in order to do that, they need to sell.
The signing of Krzysztof Piatek last season didn’t help the young Italian, and now seen as expendable, a sale is being considered.
The Italian newspaper explain that Wolves are ‘prepared’ to meet the request of €25m for the 21-year-old, as the Premier League club see enough potential in him to justify the expenditure.
At Milan since 2006, the young forward impressed when he first arrived in the club’s first-team, but suffered a slightly more disappointing campaign last year.
If this does go through, and the amount of reports on it both in England and in Italy suggests it very well could, then Wolverhampton have a lovely project to work with over the next few years, one where he can develop behind or alongside Raul Jimenez at the Molineux.
