Raul Jimenez’s arrival in Mexico has been surrounded by some curiosity from the local media, who are not sure if he’s fit to play for the national team.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers striker has joined the Mexican squad today with a little delay, since he was expected to be present on Monday night.

On his arrival, the player has only said ‘I’m happy to be here again’. But ESPN Mexico brings a story about a possible adductor injury.

They say that after being asked to be brought off at the end of Wolves’ last Premier League match, Jimenez is expected to be evaluated by Mexico’s medical team today.

The player will have a short time to train with the squad, since they’re departing for Panama tomorrow, as they face each other in the Concacaf League of Nations on Friday.

But ESPN also learned that Jimenez’s injury is not serious, so even in case he misses this first match, this shouldn’t be a concern for Wolves fans.
