With the season coming to an end, it’s time for Brazilian striker Leo Bonatini to look for a new club, Sport Witness has been informed.
Even though Nottingham Forest have until June 30th to use their buying option and sign the player permanently, they are unlikely to do so.
Since joining the club on a six-month loan deal in January, the 25-year-old has failed to impress, making only five appearances and not scoring any goals.
Bonatini was last used by Nottingham Forest in early March, and ended up being left out of match-day squads for most of his time in the city.
Bonatini isn’t likely to stay at Wolverhampton either. Since the club’s promotion to the Premier League, they feel like there’s not a place for him in the squad anymore.
Wolves had already authorised the player to move to Greece back in January, but Nottingham Forest showed up as a more attractive option for being a Championship side.
With his contract with the Molineux side running until 2022, Bonatini now has the entire summer to solve his future.
