Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traoré has spoken to the Catalan media today, and some of the quotes are being highlighted in the local media.

They’re not about Wolves, but about Manchester United. With the Red Devils set to play Barcelona in the Champions League quarterfinals next week, Traoré had a few hints for his former club.

The player stayed on the bench during Wolves’ 2-1 win over Manchester United on Tuesday, and had a close look at what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side can offer.

“Manchester United are a great team and they have great players: Lukaku, Pogba, who can reach the opponent’s box or defend at the same time, people who can go well on the counterattack, Rashford, good air game,” Adama Traoré told Catalunya Radio (via Sport). “Barça are favourites and Manchester United will play differently than how they do in England.”

“They will stand differently, especially not to make mistakes that they commit here. Barça are favourites, everybody is betting on Barça, but any Champions League match can give you the surprise. Although the reality is that Barça are favourites, there have been surprises.”

Traore belonged to Barcelona’s academy for ten years and even made four appearances for the first team. He left the club in 2015 to join Aston Villa in a €10m deal.

A year later, the winger joined Middlesbrough for €8.5m, and after showing potential again for Boro, he joined the Wolves last summer in a €20m transfer.
